{"id":1863,"date":"2008-04-13T09:52:45","date_gmt":"2008-04-13T14:52:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.paulryburn.com\/blog\/?page_id=1863"},"modified":"2009-01-31T06:38:45","modified_gmt":"2009-01-31T12:38:45","slug":"late-night-dining-in-downtown-memphis","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.paulryburn.com\/blog\/late-night-dining-in-downtown-memphis\/","title":{"rendered":"Late-night dining in Downtown Memphis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here are a list of places Downtown that offer late-night dining.\u00a0 I generally consider &#8220;late-night dining&#8221; to mean they still serve food after 11 PM weekdays and midnight Friday-Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Westy&#8217;s at Main and Jackson has a kitchen that stays open until 2:45 AM every night.\u00a0 They have a very extensive menu.\u00a0 Best known for their wild rice dishes and hot fudge pie.\u00a0 They also have burgers, chicken, fish, you name it, it&#8217;s probably on the menu.<\/p>\n<p>Bardog Tavern, on Monroe between Front and Main, stays open until 3 AM Monday-Saturday and until midnight Sunday.\u00a0 Kitchen is open until one hour before closing time each night.\u00a0 They have unusually good food for a locals&#8217; bar.\u00a0 Fantastic spaghetti and meatballs, good seafood and pasta dishes.\u00a0 Burger and hot dog sliders are quite popular.<\/p>\n<p>Huey&#8217;s at the corner of Second and Union stays open &#8217;til 3 AM every night, and I believe their kitchen stays open until 2.\u00a0 Burgers, bar food.<\/p>\n<p>Automatic Slim&#8217;s, on Second just south of Union, has a late night menu that runs from 10 PM to 3 AM, consisting of smaller portions of their regular menu, some specialty appetizers, and the soup of the day.<\/p>\n<p>Big Foot Lodge, on Second just south of Union, serves a wide assortment of food.\u00a0 Burgers, entrees, Canadian-themed appetizers.\u00a0 Kitchen open until 1 weekdays and 2 weekends.<\/p>\n<p>Orleans on Front, just south of Union, has a downstairs bar called the &#8220;Voodoo Room&#8221; that has a late-night menu from 10 PM to 3 AM.\u00a0 Cajun-themed appetizers and sandwiches.<\/p>\n<p>The Silly Goose, on Peabody Place between Main and Second, stays open until 3.\u00a0 Menu includes delicious flatbread pizzas, panini sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and desserts.<\/p>\n<p>The Black Diamond on Beale between Second and Third has a kitchen that stays open very late, until 4 AM I believe.\u00a0 Burgers, bar food, pizzas.\u00a0 I rank their pizzas among the best Downtown.<\/p>\n<p>Dyer&#8217;s Burgers on Beale between Third and Fourth serves burgers until 2.<\/p>\n<p>The Green Beetle on South Main at Vance stays open all night on the weekends, and as far as I know their kitchen never shuts down.\u00a0 Burgers, bar food.<\/p>\n<p>Earnestine &amp; Hazel&#8217;s at South Main and G.E.
