Co-owner Jeannette posted the following to Facebook yesterday:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>SOFIA SATURDAYS &amp; SUNDAYS!!$15 Yellow Tail Bubbly &amp; $30 Sofia Blanc de Blancs! @3pm till 6pm, $3 mimosas, moonshine, fireball &amp; Bloody&#8217;s, tomorrow at NOON<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So yep, they&#8217;ll be open at noon today. Not sure what their opening time will be for the Nobody Gives a Shit Bowl AKA the Pro Bowl next Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/downtown.wmctv.com\/news\/community-spirit\/91321-civil-rights-museum-food-bank-honor-dr-kings-sacrifice-through-service\">Bring canned goods and receive $1 off admission<\/a> to the National Civil Rights Museum. Canned good donations will go to the Food Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Good news for Victorian Village: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/memphis\/news\/2013\/01\/18\/downtown-committee-approves-loan-for.html\">A $133,000 loan has been approved<\/a> to renovate the James Lee House, the mansion at 690 Adams, into a bed-and-breakfast.<\/p>\n<p>Tube top dress news: Yesterday I posted a link to a YouTube video of the TNA Wrestling wedding of Brooke Hogan and Bully Ray. A brawl happened, breaking up the wedding. What I didn&#8217;t know when I posted the video was that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wrestling-online.com\/tna\/brooke-hogan-suffers-wardrobe-malfunction-at-impact\/\">Brooke Hogan had a wardrobe malfunction<\/a> in her tube top wedding dress. Unfortunately TNA edited Brooke out of the video before posting to YouTube.<\/p>\n<p>Poker news: I&#8217;ve heard from several people that the cash games at Southland Greyhound Park are full of really bad players. &#8220;If you&#8217;re patient and play properly, you&#8217;re likely to win some money,&#8221; one friend told me. &#8220;There are a lot of people who clearly don&#8217;t know what they&#8217;re doing at all.&#8221; The Friday and Saturday night tables are hosted by our old friend Poker Jon. There&#8217;s also a 3:00 Saturday $35 buy-in Hold&#8217;em tournament that is popular among Downtown poker players. It wraps up by 6 and the first-place prize, which depends on the number of players who enter, is usually in the $350 range.<\/p>\n<p>Time to start Sunday Fun Day.
