I woke this morning about 5 to the sound of a helicopter flying over Downtown. It’s very rare to hear a helicopter flying that early and I wondered if there was a manhunt. There was not. Protestors planned to shut down the I-40 bridge in a peaceful MLK Day demonstration and I assume the chopper was flying to ensure the safety of participants; however, the protest didn’t happen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There’s a new pedal tavern cruising the streets of Downtown. I saw it this weekend on the Main Street Mall. Choose901 has full details.<\/a> It seats up to 14 and is BYOB, with the tavern supplying the cups and coolers.<\/p>\n

The Silly Goose is having its sixth anniversary party this Thursday, January 22, starting at 9 PM.<\/p>\n
