(…to use a Mikeyism.)\u00a0 Got to Calhoun’s about 10:30 tonight.\u00a0 I knew I’d actually get there long before the Saucer closed, but if I blogged that my plan was to leave the Saucer and head there, I’d have had people going, “Pauly, it’s 4:00, are you ready to go to Calhoun’s yet?”\u00a0 There was a PBR draft in front of me before my ass touched the bar stool.\u00a0 I swear, that bar is doing absolutely everything it can to get me in there.\u00a0 I stayed until about 2:15, then navigated the gauntlet of bums home.\u00a0 I counted… Calhoun’s is only 12 blocks from where I live.\u00a0 Thought it was 14.<\/p>\n
They’ll be seeing more of me.\u00a0 I’ve decided that it’s time to move back into barhopping mode.\u00a0 I’ll still work on my 3 beers a day for my plate, but beyond that no more sitting at one bar the entire night.\u00a0 Time to circulate again.\u00a0 When I did that in early December it seemed to work well.<\/p>\n
Had a bum try to chase me down on the way home.\u00a0 “Hey, sir!\u00a0 Hey!\u00a0 Hey!”\u00a0 I turned around and faced him.\u00a0 “NO BUMS, DUDE, MOVE ON!”\u00a0 He then claimed he was just going to ask me what time it was.\u00a0 Yeah right.\u00a0 He walked off cussing at me.<\/p>\n
