A big party day.  So I looked forward to celebrating it at my favorite bar and then I saw this:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.paulryburn.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/03\/p3130225.JPG\" title=\"p3130225.JPG\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.paulryburn.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/03\/cheapasses.jpg\" title=\"cheapasses.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.paulryburn.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/03\/cheapasses.jpg?resize=500%2C375\" alt=\"cheapasses.jpg\" border=\"0\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Instead of having a normal $2.75 Pint Nite with almost all draft beers on sale, the Saucer is <strong>only<\/strong> doing Irish beers for $2.75 that night (Guinness, Murphy&#8217;s).  <strong>All other beers will be full price.<\/strong>\u00a0 Where many bars offer special discounts to celebrate St. Pat&#8217;s, the Saucer&#8217;s idea of a &#8220;special&#8221; is to raise their prices.<\/p>\n<p>You know what?  I had said I&#8217;m going to get a plate in the absolute minimum number of days.  But this is bullshit.  They&#8217;ve had holidays on Tuesday and still had trivia night.  They&#8217;ve had holidays on Wednesday and still had &#8220;keep the glass&#8221; night.   I&#8217;m skipping a night this Monday.  And I encourage you to do the same.<\/p>\n<p>So it&#8217;s now a &#8220;plate in the minimum number of days <em>plus one<\/em>&#8221; plate.  I&#8217;m taking a night off in protest.<\/p>\n<p>E-mail me (paul@paulryburn.com) to find out what we&#8217;ll be doing Monday night 3\/17 for St.Pat&#8217;s.  You are definitely invited, as long as you are cool with taking a night off from the Saucer.
