It won&#8217;t turn on, and when I plug into my computer&#8217;s USB port, the computer does not recognize a new device.<\/p>\n<p>So it looks like I&#8217;ll be buying a new MP3 player this week.  I&#8217;m leaning toward the 80 GB iPod Classic, but I may shop around and see if there are other MP3 players that are better and\/or a better value than an iPod.  Does anyone have one they recommend?  If I don&#8217;t get the 80 GB Classic, I&#8217;ll get something comparable in terms of storage.  I&#8217;m not considering an iTouch, because I want something with enough storage to serve as a backup for my data as well as play songs.
