Tonight I learned that Swig has closed its doors for good.\u00a0 They tried to hang on for a while, but finally gave up.<\/p>\n

Started the evening at Itta Bena.\u00a0 For those (probably just AL) who care what I had to eat, I had a bowl of she crab soup.<\/p>\n

From there I went to the Saucer to see the Dempseys.\u00a0 I got a spot near the window where I could people-watch the crowd across the street at Atlas.\u00a0 Except it really wasn’t a crowd.\u00a0 It was pretty dead.\u00a0 Last year I’d watch Atlas from the Saucer’s window and the place would look linke a f-ing mosh pit.\u00a0 Tonight I actually saw floor space at Atlas from the Saucer.\u00a0 Air Traffic Mike came in, and told me he talked to a 24-year-old friend about Atlas, and she asked, “Why’s everybody so full of themselves there?”\u00a0 EXACTLY.\u00a0 That’s why I don’t go.\u00a0 That’s why I make so much fun of the place.\u00a0 Congrats to his friend on the insight.\u00a0 24 is way too mature to go to Atlas.<\/p>\n

However, I did get some valuable news about an upcoming event Downtown, Pub Olympics at Hoop’s Bar.\u00a0 Here are the details:<\/p>\n
