Front. That neighborhood, at one point referred to as “The Front Street Chicken District” due to the presence of Gus’s Fried Chicken, is hopping these days, with Old Dominick Distillery, The Gray Canary, Bar Ware and the juice bar next door, and many new apartments nearby.

I wonder if the block of Main between Gayoso and Peabody Place will become known as “The Main Street Chicken District” due to the presence of Chester’s truck stop fried chicken inside Bluefin? Huh??? The Edge is nowhere near the riverfront. Yeah, but scroll down a bit, and you will see that the Design Review Board is hearing plans for Memphis Made Brewing Co.’s renovation of the Glass Factory building at 435 Madison. They plan on opening a second brewery and taproom there. The east side of the building faces The Ravine, the new urban park that will intersect The Edge from Union to Madison.

Adam McLelland plays Loflin Yard tonight at 9.

The Rusty Pieces play the Blind Bear tonight at 10.

RuPaul’s Drag Race: Dine & Drag Weekly Watch Party comes to Atomic Rose tonight at 7. Not only is it Trolley Night but I’m still trying to find out if Squeal Street BBQ is entering BBQ Fest this year. Anecdotal evidence suggests “no” but I don’t have confirmation of that yet.
