The Memphis River Parks Partnership is challenging Memphians to stay active<\/a> while maintaining social distancing. The first challenge goal is to walk or run 500 miles in two weeks . You can enter your progress into their tracking form. People’s progress will be shared on their @memriverparks social media outlets, and each time you submit, you’ll be entered into a raffle to win a $100 gift certificate to the Downtown Memphis restaurant of your choice.<\/p>\n

500 miles in two weeks? That’s more than a marathon a day! Maybe they mean all the participants combined, not individually.<\/p>\n

They’ll also highlight new workouts created by fitness instructors who, let’s face it, don’t have shit else to do these days. These workouts, shared on social media and Vimeo, will hopefully inspire you to get moving.<\/p>\n

You can also sign up for “recess texts” encourage you to breathe in, breathe out, get up, get down, get moving, do the hokey pokey and turn yourself around, because that’s what it’s all about. Just don’t do it within 6 feet of another person.<\/p>\n
