I’m very sad to report that Dr. Herman Green passed away this week. Dr. Green, who had a drive-by 90th birthday party earlier this year, was one of the last (perhaps THE last) of the Beale Street musicians of the 1940s. Dr. Green was the saxophonist and heart and soul of local jam band FreeWorld.
