Main<\/a>, Memphis&#8217; tallest building, so that it can be improved and turned around and sold to a buyer who intends to house corporate and retail tenants there. Tearing the building down is also an option. It&#8217;s a big purchase price but I agree, it needs to be done. The building purchase still has to be approved by the County Commission.<\/p>\n<p>The Shelby County Health Department has <a href=\"https:\/\/wreg.com\/news\/interim-director-appointed-to-shelby-county-health-department\/\">a new interim director<\/a>, Dr. Lasonya Harris Hall, who works as deputy chief administrative officer for the county. She&#8217;ll lead the agency for up to 90 days while also leading the search for her permanent successor at the Health Department.<\/p>\n<p>A church building at Second and Henry in Uptown <a href=\"https:\/\/wreg.com\/news\/historic-church-goes-up-in-flames-days-after-new-congregation-moves-in\/\">went up in flames<\/a> just days after a new congregation, Redemption Church, had begun to worship in the building. The building dated to 1942.<\/p>\n<p>Action News 5 profiles the National Civil Rights Museum in its latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wmcactionnews5.com\/2021\/03\/10\/star-stories-ncrm-bringing-us-civil-rights-history-life\/\">5 Star Story<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Vaccine disparity: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox13memphis.com\/rss-snd\/vaccine-disparity-some-areas-shelby-county-vaccinated-much-higher-rates-than-others\/VVPO6475B5DYXFOI4YMCTOZFDQ\/\">A higher percentage<\/a> of people who live Downtown, Midtown, and in the eastern suburbs have received the COVID-19 vaccine than other parts of Shelby County.<\/p>\n<p>I haven&#8217;t watched the Prince Harry\/Meghan Markle interview with Oprah because I don&#8217;t care much about the royal family. However, I&#8217;ve seen posts on Quora saying &#8220;watch it with the sound off and pay attention to the body language.&#8221; Hmmm interesting.<\/p>\n<p>Not a very newsy day.
