If you miss the dishes at the old Cafe 61 which operated on Second Street years ago, you may be in luck: One or two of them may reappear at The Second Line in Midtown. Chef\/owner Kelly English recently hired<\/a> former Cafe 61 owner Derk Meitzler as the new GM, the Daily Memphian’s Jennifer Biggs reports. English has already asked about the Chicken Newport (which was my favorite) and he’s known to be a fan of the duck & waffles.<\/p>\n

Brian Blake, the 2021 Memphis Songwriters’ “Songwriter of the Year,” will perform live at the Memphis Farmers Market tomorrow. The Market runs from 8 to 1 under the pavilion at Front and G.E. Patterson.<\/p>\n
