So, I walked home to eat lunch yesterday about 1 in the afternoon. I was not expecting what I saw and heard. The new Fat Tuesday location next door to my building had opened at noon. There was a drumline and at least 75 people congregated outside. When I left about 3, the crowd had swelled to more than 100. The crowd was even larger when I walked home from Blind Bear about 9:30. I had to weave through a maze of people to get to my front door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Which is good, I guess. Fat Tuesday is an immediate hit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I just feel bad for the folks in the northwest units (the ’01s) on the second and third floors of my building. Going forward, they ain’t never going to get no sleep. I live on one of the upper floors facing away from Fat Tuesday, and I could hear the crowd noise quite clearly as I went to bed last night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
