So, nine days. There are no really exciting games this Saturday &#8211; no ranked vs. ranked and no big regional rivalries. But for Memphians looking to wet their CFB whistle, here are a few games that may interest you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Navy at 13 Notre Dame, 1:30 PM, NBC<\/li>\n<li>Hawaii at Vanderbilt, 6:30 PM, SEC Network<\/li>\n<li>San Jose State at 6 USC, 7:00 PM, PAC-12 Network<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>From AP: <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/cfp-expansion-conference-realignment-big-ten-sec-63864a28b556fb7a9ac047b144dd7b75?utm_campaign=mb&amp;utm_medium=newsletter&amp;utm_source=morning_brew\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2023 is the end of an era in college football<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As part of South Main Trolley Night this Friday, Memphis Spine &amp; Sport at 372 S. Main will celebrate its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/1025855018772601\/?ref=newsfeed\">second birthday<\/a>. There will be food, drinks, and giveaways.<\/p>\n<p>Team USA tuned up against world basketball opponent Greece this past weekend, <a href=\"https:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/usa-easily-handles-group-stage-200533868.html?src=rss\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">winning handily 108-86<\/a>.\u00a0 Jaren Jackson Jr. started and had 11 points.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/memphislibrary.evanced.info\/signup\/EventDetails?EventId=67280&amp;df=calendar&amp;backTo=Calendar&amp;startDate=2023\/08\/21\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lovie the Therapy Dog<\/a> returns to the Cossitt Library today from 3:30 to 4:15.<\/p>\n<p>There will be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/310760221484126\/?acontext=%7B%22event_action_history%22%3A[%7B%22mechanism%22%3A%22discovery_local_tab%22%2C%22surface%22%3A%22bookmark%22%7D]%2C%22ref_notif_type%22%3Anull%7D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">yoga at the mansion<\/a> this Friday at 3 at the Woodruff-Fontaine House. After the all-levels class, there will be a self-guided tour of the house. $30. Bring a yoga mat and water.<\/p>\n<p>Local artist Lacey Craig will have an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/238390472361265\/?acontext=%7B%22event_action_history%22%3A[%7B%22mechanism%22%3A%22discovery_local_tab%22%2C%22surface%22%3A%22bookmark%22%7D]%2C%22ref_notif_type%22%3Anull%7D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">exhibit opening<\/a> at First Presbyterian, 166 Poplar, on Friday from 5:00 to 8:30 PM. There will be light refreshments and live music by Davy Ray Bennett (one of my fellow tour guides!)<\/p>\n<p>Sunday from 2 to 3, there will be a presentation on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/3357338267863835\/?acontext=%7B%22event_action_history%22%3A[%7B%22mechanism%22%3A%22discovery_local_tab%22%2C%22surface%22%3A%22bookmark%22%7D]%2C%22ref_notif_type%22%3Anull%7D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the destruction of the steamboat Sultana<\/a> at Elmwood Cemetery. This was the worst maritime disaster in American history. My current money situation dictates that I have to spend some days of my week at home, and Sunday is my least favorite day to go out.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday used to be my MOST favorite day to go out.
