Interesting fact I learned:\u00a0 If a Mafia member introduces you to another Mafia member, he’ll say “he’s a friend of mine,” unless you are a member as well, in which case the introduction will be “he’s a friend of ours.”\u00a0 “Ours” indicates that business may be openly discussed around you.<\/p>\n
I also learned that two names commonly associated with the mob, Meyer Lansky and Ben “Bugsy” Siegel, were apparently not members, but only associates.\u00a0 You can only be a member if you are Italian, and Lansky and Siegel weren’t.<\/p>\n
Late in the afternoon I wandered up to the Saucer, and was rewarded with an unusually good Fire Sale, Tennent’s.\u00a0 Then I went to dinner with my friends Lee and Lauren at Pearl’s Oyster House.\u00a0 With the holiday party season wrapped up, it was wonderful to just relax and spend some quality time with good friends.\u00a0 After that I went back to the Saucer, but hadn’t recovered from Friday night and decided to call it quits after only two beers.<\/p>\n
