I’m unexpectedly in town for the weekend – trip to Little Rock has been cancelled.\u00a0 So now I have to figure out what to do with myself… since the Saucer closes at 5 today, I’ll probably make the Silly Goose my base of operations, with possible stops at either Bardog or Calhoun’s early in the evening.<\/p>\n

Since I have some free time, let’s see what I have on the camera’s memory card from the past week.<\/p>\n

Here’s a pic of the Nuh-Uh Girl enjoying one of several plates from the free buffet at Kooky Canuck’s<\/a> Christmas party Thursday night.<\/p>\n

Despite her section being in the other room, Brick still found time to come over to our party Saturday and sit on her ass and tell us how bored she was and play with her phone.\u00a0 I mistakenly called her “Meghan” for some reason.\u00a0 She didn’t like that at all.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Brick wanted to play darts with us.\u00a0 Some of the gang were hesitant to let her.\u00a0 “If the manager sees her, she’ll get in trouble,” they said.<\/p>\n

“Yeah, but if we let her play, there’s a chance we’ll get a view up her skirt when she throws,” I pointed out.<\/p>\n

Someone ordered a pretzel at the party and it was sitting on our table.\u00a0 “If the Nuh-Uh Girl sees that, she’s going to swoop in on it like a pigeon,” said Bicycle Bobby.\u00a0 Sure enough, not even a minute later, there she was.<\/p>\n

The band at the DNA\/SMA holiday party Sunday night.\u00a0 Richard from FreeWorld must be wondering if I’m stalking him.\u00a0 That was the third time I’d seen him in less than 48 hours.<\/p>\n

The downstairs party room at Metro 67 was really nice.\u00a0 It’s in a converted bank vault, and it has pool, ping-pong and foosball.<\/p>\n

Okay, I have to pause here to tell a quick story before I continue with photos.\u00a0 Sunday night I was at the DNA\/SMA party, holding a piece of pumpkin bread.\u00a0 The Nuh-Uh Girl saw me, and whipped out her camera and said, “Now I’m going to get a pic of you<\/em> eating!”<\/p>\n

“No one cares if I eat,” I told her.\u00a0 “The thing is, I don’t eat all the time.\u00a0 When I go to these parties, I have one plate.\u00a0 Maybe two if I’m really starving.\u00a0 Not six or seven.\u00a0 And I don’t go around picking food off other people’s plates all night.”<\/p>\n

So we had a standoff for about three minutes, with her waiting for me to eat the pumpkin bread, and me refusing to eat it so she could get a picture.\u00a0 Finally she broke down and said, “…can I have a bite?” and she broke off half my piece of pumpkin bread and ate it.<\/p>\n

This is the best I’ve ever seen Old Lazy Ass look.\u00a0 After the DNA\/SMA party I stopped by the Saucer Sunday night, and Bicycle Bobby had ridden his scooter up there.\u00a0 Brittney put on his helmet.\u00a0 Not only does it hide part of Brittney’s face, but it muffles her voice when she talks.\u00a0 Perfect.\u00a0 She should wear a helmet all the time when she bartends.<\/p>\n

Someone who’d never been to the Saucer before asked Britt what her favorite beer was.\u00a0 She said Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan.\u00a0 It takes lazy to know lazy, I guess.<\/p>\n

On to last night… after being stuck at 199 beers for 10 months, Stephanie finally finished her 200th beer and had her plate party.<\/p>\n

I do have a bone to pick with Stephanie, however.\u00a0 When I had my plate party Saturday, Stephanie was happy to show up and help herself to free beer.\u00a0 But did she reciprocate last night?\u00a0 No.\u00a0 Her plate party was “ladies only.”<\/p>\n

The thing that really gets me is, AMANDA F’ING ECKERSLEY got free beer and I didn’t.\u00a0 Something is really, really wrong with the world when that happens.\u00a0 I wonder how many times Amanda used the word “Ptolemy” in conversation in the two hours she was there… I’d guess between 70 and 80.<\/p>\n

That’s all the pics, but more stuff to come… it’s about to start raining again, but I think if I stick my netbook in my leather jacket, it’ll be OK to make the trip to the Saucer for some Fire Sale Blue Moon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
