{"id":7691,"date":"2010-08-31T23:21:30","date_gmt":"2010-09-01T04:21:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.paulryburn.com\/blog\/?p=7691"},"modified":"2010-08-31T23:21:30","modified_gmt":"2010-09-01T04:21:30","slug":"bad-tippers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.paulryburn.com\/blog\/2010\/08\/31\/bad-tippers\/","title":{"rendered":"Bad tippers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We got killed tonight at trivia.\u00a0 It was so bad I didn&#8217;t even add up our final score.\u00a0 Congrats to the teams that beat us, and there were a lot of them.<\/p>\n<p>However, I do want to say something to the top three winning teams.\u00a0 The servers work just as hard whether you are paying with cash, or cashing in gift certificate winnings, or a combination of both.\u00a0 If you are not tipping 15% minimum on the total <em><strong>before gift certificates are deducted<\/strong><\/em>, to put it bluntly, you&#8217;re a bunch of cheap-asses.<\/p>\n<p>Different teams have different strategies for cashing in.\u00a0 My team pools its gift certificates and cashes them in once every three months.\u00a0 When we cash in, we collect tips for whomever is serving us.\u00a0 If she doesn&#8217;t get at least 20% I raise holy hell.<\/p>\n<p>Suggestion:\u00a0 Appoint one person on your team to collect tips, to make sure that your server is taken care of.\u00a0 They&#8217;ll appreciate it, and so will you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We got killed tonight at trivia.\u00a0 It was so bad I didn&#8217;t even add up our final score.\u00a0 Congrats to the teams that beat us, and there were a lot of them.
