Last night I attended MIFA’s “Feed the Soul” event at The Warehouse.\u00a0 I must admit, I probably wouldn’t have attended this had the organizer not offered me free tickets… but once I was there, my reaction was, “Why haven’t I been coming to this???”\u00a0 Best party I have ever been to at the Warehouse, and that’s really saying a lot.\u00a0 I will never miss it again, and will gladly pay for tickets in the future… also going to light a fire under the rest of the gang to go.\u00a0 They missed out on an incredible event!<\/p>\n

There were many cigars from Havana Mix available for purchase.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Bourbon tasting<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
$\"\"$ <\/a>
The MIFA Store Lounge was one of the best parts of the party. They brought in goods from the MIFA Store on Vance, and people got some incredible bargains. I believe the couch on the left was $50. The coffee table was $40. They had clothing, glassware and much more as well.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Oxygen bar<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
$\"\"$ <\/a>
At 7:30 the main event took the stage... Raiford! He totally re-created the experience of the club, with fog machine, multiple costume changes, maracas, and Paula, Frances, and Marcus dancing on stage.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Sponsors were treated like royalty. Here's the outside sponsor seating at the AutoZone Rhythm & Blues Pavilion.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This was exactly the kind of fundraiser I enjoy… elegant and quite entertaining, yet not a bit pretentious.\u00a0 Truly an event where there was something for everyone.\u00a0 Thanks for a fantastic time and you can count on seeing me next year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
