Back when Amazon’s Kindle Fire first came out in 2011, I ordered one. Five months later, I won an iPad in a poker tournament. Since then, the Kindle Fire tablet has mostly sat on a shelf, unused, except for sick days when I wanted to read in bed. Well, if you have a rarely-used first-generation Kindle Fire like I do, you need to plug it in and turn it on today so it can download updates. If you don’t install an update that was put out last October by tomorrow, Internet connectivity will stop working. Updates download automatically as long as the tablet is on and connected to Wi-Fi.

Last day of working from home, so it’s time for me to run to Court House Deli and get the last lunch I will be able to eat there until the week of BBQ Fest. Melissa Monday at Bardog and Blind Bear are my plans as is usually the case on Monday, but since I’m getting out early due to the lack of commute today, I will add a Brass Door stop at the beginning. Back tomorrow with more news.
