Wednesday update

I heard 3 gunshots at 3:33 this morning. They sounded like they came from several blocks south of where I live, possibly the Second and Beale area. There were reports this morning on Nextdoor of gunshots in the area of Washington Park in the 1100 block of N. Second in the 5:00 hour.

Makestic Grille co-owner Patrick Reilly had his quote about the effect of the I-40 closing tweeted by the @WhiteHouse yesterday:

117 Prime will be closed today and tomorrow. They anticipate opening Friday with a new menu.

The Detroit Pistons won the NBA draft lottery last night. The Grizzlies were not in the lottery and will pick 17th in the first round. They don’t have a pick in the second round, having shipped number 46 off to Toronto.

In other basketball news, the U.S. men’s basketball team roster for the Olympics is complete. Among the biggest names are Brooklyn’s James Harden and Kevin Durant, Portland’s Damian Lillard, and Golden State’s Draymond Green. The Olympics start one month from today.
