The Shelby County election of 2020 is in the record books. The big results:
- Challenger Steve Mulroy defeated incumbent Amy Weirich in the District Attorney General race
- County Mayor Lee Harris beat Republican challenger Worth Morgan to secure a second term
- Voters said no to a proposal that would have extended term limits, allowing the mayor of Memphis and City Council members to run for a third term
- County Clerk Wanda Halbert, whose office has had so much trouble mailing out license plates in a timely manner, won another term

You can substitute a free vegan or VGF (vegan/gluten-free) chocolate chunk cookie if that’s your preference.
Today is International Beer Day and I recommend you celebrate it with the very best beer in the world. I am speaking, of course, about Pabst Blue Ribbon.
