Late-night dining in Downtown Memphis

Here are a list of places Downtown that offer late-night dining.  I generally consider “late-night dining” to mean they still serve food after 11 PM weekdays and midnight Friday-Saturday.

Westy’s at Main and Jackson has a kitchen that stays open until 2:45 AM every night.  They have a very extensive menu.  Best known for their wild rice dishes and hot fudge pie.  They also have burgers, chicken, fish, you name it, it’s probably on the menu.

Huey’s at the corner of Second and Union stays open ’til 3 AM every night, and I believe their kitchen stays open until 2.  Burgers, bar food.

Big Foot Lodge, on Second just south of Union, serves a wide assortment of food.  Burgers, entrees, Canadian-themed appetizers.  Kitchen open until 1 weekdays and 2 weekends.

The Black Diamond on Beale between Second and Third has a kitchen that stays open very late, until 4 AM I believe.  Burgers, bar food, pizzas.  I rank their pizzas among the best Downtown.

Dyer’s Burgers on Beale between Third and Fourth serves burgers until 2.

Hoop’s Bar serves food until 2 AM.  Hoop’s is part of EP Delta Kitchen but has it own separate entrance (on Second between Peabody Place and Beale - look for the Hoop’s Bar sign and you’ll see the staircase).  Hoop’s is much more casual than EP’s, and serves a burger, homemade egg rolls, a meat pizza (get you some), and a few more menu items which are very good.

The Green Beetle on South Main at Vance stays open all night on the weekends, and as far as I know their kitchen never shuts down.  Burgers, bar food.

Earnestine & Hazel’s at South Main and G.E. Patterson only has one menu item, the Soul Burger, but it’s a good menu item.  Kitchen is open until they shut down at 3.

As an absolute last resort, there’s Denny’s at Third and Union, which stays open all night.  Diner food, extremely slow service most of the time.
