Friday update

Most likely I will be out watching the St. Jude Marathon runners tomorrow and won’t have time to post anything. So this will be the Friday-Saturday news roundup and I’ll plan on being back on Sunday.

Today is Bartender Appreciation Day.

Hop on a bus or trolley and sit any place you please. Today is Rosa Parks Day.

And it’s National Christmas Lights Day.

As for Saturday, that’s Business of Popping Corn Day. Go to Momma’s on Crump Blvd. and sample the output of their new popcorn machine. According to Facebook and Google Maps, Momma’s is open all the way until 3 AM tonight and Saturday night. You never know who you might run into there at 2:45!

Saturday is also National Mutt Day.

RIP Sandra Day O’Connor, the first female justice on the U.S. Supreme Court.

There’s a special report on (interfering with my Price Is Right watching) that George Santos has been expelled from Congress, shrinking the Republicans’ 9-seat majority in the House. An ethics report said Santos “blatantly stole from his own campaign.”

OK good, The Price Is Right is on now. A contestant just won a Chevy Equinox SUV on the Any Number game.

Hmmm what would the worst Price Is Right Showcase ever look like?
