If you’re getting the John Lennon beer glass at the Saucer tonight…

Two pieces of advice:

1) Get there by 6:45 (they go on sale at 7) and tell your waitress or bartender that you want to get a Lennon glass as soon as they are allowed to sell them.  This is one of two glasses per year (Elvis being the other one) that sell out extremely quickly.  If you’re even 10 minutes late, you may miss out.

2) Bring cash to pay, and if possible, bring exact change.  The bartenders and waitresses are going to be SLAMMED.  If you plan on leaving right after you get the glass, and you pay with a credit card, expect delays getting out of there.  If you pay them cash, exact change, all you have to do is hand them the money and go.  The cost of the glass (I believe, don’t hold me to this) is $5 plus the cost of the draft beer you put in it (and don’t forget to tip).  This is one of the few nights of the year I pay with cash rather than my debit card.

See you tonight, and don’t forget about trivia with Mikey and Pete the Trivia Guy across the street at Jillian’s.
