I took an hour off from website work this morning to catch up on blogs, and while doing so I discovered a great post on how to become a VIP at hot restaurants. Several points are ones I definitely agree with – start at the bar, tip 25%, be forgiving of occasional inattentive service when it’s busy, let them know you’ll refer a lot of business their way if you’re treated well. There are also some ideas I hadn’t considered before, such as asking the chef what he/she thinks everyone should order but hardly anyone does. I definitely learned a few things from this post.
