The Eat Local Memphis blog had a post yesterday about Lunchbox Eats, a new lunch-only restaurant at 288 S. Fourth, just south of Linden near the FedExForum. They have a variety of sandwiches and sides based on a school lunch theme, but the food sounds a lot better than what you’d find in a school cafeterial.
The post has a phoro of a “3rd Period Smoking Birds” sandwich, with turkey, duck and veggie slaw. There’s also a pic of the “Homeroom Chicken & Grids” sandwich, made with chicken and waffles. Check out the post for a complete review of Lunchbox Eats and a link to their menu.
