Sources have told WREG that the SmokeSlam BBQ festival, usually held the third weekend of May in Tom Lee Park, will be suspended for 2026 and “reimagined” for 2027. If true, that leaves Memphis in May BBQ Fest way out in Parkinglotville as the only game in town that weekend.
