Happy hour specials subject to change. If you know of any Downtown happy hours that I missed, e-mail me at paul@paulryburn.com and I’ll add them.
Circa by John Bragg, 4-7 PM daily. $3 beer daily, including some very premium beers. $5 martinis Mondays; $2.50 beers Tuesdays; $8 wine flights (three 2 oz. glasses from their by-the-glass menu Wednesdays); $2 off single-barrel scotch Thursdays; free appetizers at the bar Fridays and Saturdays. $3 snaCks (mini-appetizers). Overall this gets my vote for best happy hour Downtown.
Daily Grill inside the Westin Hotel, 4-7 PM Monday-Friday, $2.95 miniature-sized portions of their appetizers and entrees. However, a lot of these are not all that miniature; the chicken pot pie is big enough for be a meal in itself. Otherwise two selections from the mini-app menu should be enough to fill most people up. Drinks are quite pricey though. My vote for best happy hour if you’re more hungry than thirsty.
Rio Loco, 3-9 PM every day, $2.75 25 oz. domestic drafts, $3.95 25 oz. Mexican drafts; $6.50 jumbo margarita.
LoLo’s Table, 4-7 PM Monday-Friday, $2 Bud and Bud Light, $3 mixed wells, $2 off martinis.
Sauces, 2-7 PM Sunday-Friday, $1.50 beer, $2 wells, $3 wine. Be careful about ordering drinks after 7, as the prices go up dramatically once happy hour is over.
Flying Saucer, 4-7 PM Tuesday-Friday. For most draft beers, get a 23 oz. biggie beer for the price of a pint.
Superior Bar on Beale, $2 domestic beers open to 7 PM.
Tug’s (Mud Island), 3-7 PM daily with $1 off per drink. Wednesdays are Tiger/SEC basketball nights with half-price drinks. Thursdays are Ladies’ Nights where ladies get half price drinks.
Calhoun’s, 4:30-7 PM Mon-Fri, $7.50 domestic pitchers, $14.50 premium pitchers, buckets $9.00 domestic and $13.00 premium. A bucket contains 4 bottled beers.
Itta Bena (on 3rd floor of BB King’s), 5-7 PM, $5 well drinks. Also Downtowner Night 5-8 Wed with $5 wells and specialty martinis, complimentary tapas.
Bluefin has ladies’ night on Thursday with 2 for 1 on drinks under $10.
