I just took a walk to the ATM a few minutes ago, and as I walked down Madison I noticed that the restaurant at 143 Madison, just east of Second, is undergoing renovations. That’s the former King of Wings location that closed about a year ago. A sign in the window says the place will open soon as “Java, Wings and Waffles.”
What’s up with all the waffle places Downtown? First Miss Polly’s on Beale opened, then Onix on South Main, then this place. Do Downtowners really like waffles that much?
