Mon update: Memphis to Moore, Gibson 5K and party, Redbirds resume game, new lunch spot

I bought my ticket to Memphis to Moore today. The fundraiser happens this Friday night at the Westin’s ballroom, with money going to the Moore Public Schools Tornado Relief Fund. Updated news about the event: Grace Askew from The Voice and The Super 5 will provide the live music. Also, the Amurica photo booth will be there so you can take pics and send positive messages back to the folks in Moore, Oklahoma.

The Gibson 5K Run/Walk is Saturday evening. Afterward there’s a big party on the Gibson Plaza. Even if you don’t do the run, you can get into the party for a $5 cover charge.

We have kind of an unusual situation at AutoZone Park tonight. The first pitch will happen at 6:05, an hour earlier than usual… but it won’t be the first pitch of the first inning. Rather, a rain-suspended game from April will restart in the 12th inning, with the New Orleans Zephyrs leading 6-2. After that game concludes, a regular 9-inning game will start approximately 30 minutes later.

Southern Belle: Take-Out Hot Lunch and Catering is now open for lunch at 117 Union, in the old Rio Loco location. Their hours are 11 to 2.

Good week to show off those tube tops with highs in the 90s.

That’ll do it for now. I’ll be out at the usual bars after work.
