Blind Bear patrons need to be thanking me tomorrow night. Last night I checked in at the Bear, commenting, “My favorite pair of librarian glasses is bartending but no pink shorts.” This afternoon she left a comment on my checkin: “Ok ok, pink shorts Wednesday it is.” I believe she has the 7 PM-3 AM shift tomorrow.

The Peabody is having an Anniversary Dinner at Chez Philippe on Tuesday, September 1. It’s part of the hotel’s historic dinner series, celebrating the hotel’s 146 years. MIFA is growing its Meals on Wheels program and is looking for more volunteers. Drivers deliver healthy meals to the elderly and disabled who might not be able to get out and get food on their own.
Kevin Cerrito hosts two themed trivia nights Downtown this week. Wednesday will be Harry Potter trivia at Tamp & Tap from 7-9 (all ages), and Thursday will be pro wrestling trivia
