Monday update

Third and Court, the new Ryan Trimm diner in Hotel Indigo on the ground floor of the building at North B.B. King Blvd. and Court Ave., is now open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I don’t see a website with menu online yet, but if you go to the diner’s Facebook page, Edible Memphis posted some photos including the breakfast and lunch/dinner menus. Breakfast is served all day, and every weekday for lunch they have a daily special which comes with two sides for $11.

Today’s special is Beast Loaf, made with cow, lamb, and bison. Those are some of my favorite beasts, so I posted to Facebook asking if anyone wanted to meet me for lunch there about 1:30 today. I got two takers, so it looks like I will be visiting the diner on its opening day. I will try to get some photos.

In other foodie news, all-you-can-eat snow crab returns to Regina’s Cajun Kitchen the afternoon of Saturday, June 29.

Mallory Everett will play Sunday brunch at Sunrise Memphis this coming Sunday, June 23.

Congratulations to Pontotoc Lounge bartender Cady Smith, who got the Judges’ Choice award at the Literatini mixology competition Saturday night. This is the second consecutive year she has come out of that an event with an award.

Khi Mathieu, the cousin of Tyrann Mathieu, has committed to Memphis football.

That’s it. Short post today. Back tomorrow with more news.
