The Memphis Tigers pulled off an upset over 6 Alabama last night on national TV, 92-78. The Tigers pulled away by double digits in the second half and made it clear the Crimson Tide weren’t getting back in. Memphis avoided a 5th straight loss and got a signature win that is sure to impress the NCAA tournament selection committee.

The Tigers have another chance to impress Saturday night with a neutral-court game against 18 Tennessee in Nashville. If they win that one, they’re fully back in March Madness conversations.

Terminix is to be acquired by British company Rentokil, one of the global leaders in pest control. Rentokil spokespeople say the company is committed to keeping a substantial presence in Memphis, so it sounds like the former Peabody Place Mall space won’t be vacant anytime soon.
