Friday update

Exciting news! A new pop-up beer garden called Riverside Taps, a collaboration between Memphis River Parks Partnership and Grind City Brewing Co., has opened in Beale Street Landing. It’ll be open 3-8 PM Thursdays and Fridays and noon to 8 PM Saturday and Sunday. It’ll operate through Halloween.

STIX has announced its monthly combo special for June: A ginger salad, Collierville roll, and hibachi shrimp with fried rice. The Collierville roll comes with salmon, cream cheese, and crab. It’s tempura fried and topped with sweet soy.

I haven’t confirmed this, but I heard yesterday that two more Downtown restaurants plan to discontinue Sunday brunch because the crowds that show up are so poorly behaved. There have been stories of customers throwing glasses at servers.
