The space that was formerly Qahwa coffee shop, in the first floor of the Claridge House at N. Main and Adams, is now Donut Mane. “Coffee | Pastries | Melts” reads the sign in the window.

Friends of mine went on a tasting tour of Old Dominick distillery… for free. Normally $20, the tours are free through September 7.  Extended 901 Day promotion, I’m guessing. Tours begin every hour and tipping is appropriate.

RIP Dolly Parton. Slider Inn Downtown will do a tribute night for her Thursday, showing 9 to 5 and Steel Magnolias. Free, kid-friendly, drink specials.
