Sat update: No Parking Here Art Gallery, Seafood Sunday at Capriccio, Krispy Krunchy Chicken

The parking garage of Emerge Memphis will be transformed into an art gallery tonight, for one night only. The No Parking Here Art Gallery will show works from established and emerging Memphis artists tonight from 6 to 9. Craig Davis will be jamming and there will be booze. The garage/gallery is at 516 Tennessee Street. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased here or at the door.

The Peabody has a new Sunday special in Capriccio Grill: Seafood Sunday, with an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet from 6 to 10 PM. $19.95 adults, $9.95 children under 12. Sounds like a great idea! All-you-can-eat? Well, I guess the Nuh-Uh Girl will be hurrying back from Knoxville on Sunday.

Krispy Krunchy Chicken opens Monday. Read about the new restaurant in this Memphis Daily News blog post.

Not happy about today’s football schedule. Particularly, I’m not pleased that Tennessee game is on ESPN2 the same time that Arkansas plays Auburn on ESPN. Hopefully the Vol Tech fans will all pile into Local to watch the game and stay out of the other Downtown bars. Not sure where I’ll watch the game, but probably the Saucer, given the large contingent of Razorback fans that showed up last week. I won’t hesitate to walk out if they put the UT game on all the TVs though. Time to get ready for 6 PM, when it will be time to CALL THOSE HOGS!!!
