Wed update: Food bank jobs, Harahan walkway, Corked Carrot, Memphis to Moore video, Fielder’s Square, new Midtown Wednesday trivia

Want to work for a nonprofit that helps Memphians in need? The Mid-South Food Bank has four jobs open. Positions include Perishable Warehouse Specialist, Marketing Manager, Transportation Coordination, and Retail Store Donation Coordinator.

It has been said that the planned path over the Harahan Bridge, connecting Memphis’ Main Street to West Memphis’ Broadway, will change Memphis’ international image. The bridge is planned to hold a cycling, running, and walking path. Few other cities offer such amenities over a river, and none over the Mississippi.

The Corked Carrot, the new wine and cupcake bar on South Main, has revised its menu. View the new menu here.

Here’s a video about Friday’s Memphis to Moore fundraiser at the Westin: (if you don’t see the video below, refresh your browser, it’s there)

Dress is “fun not formal/dressy casual,” so a stylish tube top dress would be an excellent choice.

Two out-of-town companies have purchased the Fielder’s Square apartment community.

Kevin Cerrito, who runs Tuesday trivia at Ferraro’s and Thursday trivia at Green Beetle, is bringing a new Wednesday trivia night to Midtown. Tonight and every Wednesday thereafter, Kevin will host trivia at Ink, at the corner of Cooper and Young (in the former Cortona, Dish, Melange space). Trivia will start after the band concludes the free weekly concert outside, and there will be happy hour specials.

That’ll wrap it up. I’ll be out at the usual places after work.
