Big Easter Sunday at the Redbirds: Candy from a helicopter, buffet, catch on the field

Want to do something extra special with the kids this Easter? How about Easter candy dropped from a helicopter, a game of catch on a professional baseball field, a brunch buffet, and a Redbirds game? The Redbirds are offering a special Easter package which includes brunch with the Easter Bunny in the Home Plate Club (menu here and it is definitely kid-friendly – ice cream sundae bar!), a dugout ticket to see the Redbirds vs. Oklahoma City, and catch on the field. After the game candy will be dropped on the field by a helicopter and kids 12 and under will be given a special Easter pail to scoop up their haul. Brunch and catch will be from noon to 1:30 PM and first pitch is 2:05 PM.

Good news. Interest from Wichita State had previously been reported, and now there is interest from the AAC. The addition would give the Memphis Tigers basketball team a quality in-conference opponent, raising their strength of schedule.
