Here’s something I didn’t know: You can sign up to take a tour of the Memphis airport. The Jon K. Thompson World Class Tour gives the public a close-up look at the airport and a better understanding of the role the airport plays in the local economy. Tours include a continental breakfast, presentations on several aspects of the airport, and bus tours of the FedEx World Hub and the Tennessee Air National Guard facility. Thursday, November 2 is the next tour.

Kids’ event Rock & Romp makes its return this weekend. It will be at Memphis Made Brewing Co. this Saturday from 2 to 5. There will be costumes and candy, and live performances by Cassette Set, Cloudland Canyon, and The Stereograms.

Ghost River has announced that this Friday’s Dock Party has been canceled due to technical difficulties. They will return to the party scene with Juju Bushman opening their One Year Party on November 4.
