Apologies to the River Rat Rounders for missing last night’s poker game at Silly Goose… been dealing with some health issues and just didn’t feel like being out that late. I definitely plan on being back soon.

In the news: Trump wants to sign an executive order to end birthright citizenship. Now, I’m not taking a position here on birthright citizenship one way or another. My problem with this is, the president of the United States thinks he can sign an executive order to overturn a Constitutional Amendment (the 14th). That’s not how it works! Pretty sure the courts would strike down the order immediately, but if he’s allowed to get away with it, what’s stopping him from issuing an order nullifying the 22nd Amendment (president is limited to two terms)?

That’s it for now. Back tomorrow.
