Friday update

The big news today is the historic whooping the Grizzlies put on the Oklahoma City Thunder at FedExForum last night. At 152-79, it was the largest margin of victory in NBA history. With a 12-10 record, the Grizzlies move into sole possession of 5th place in the Western Conference.

Daryl and Ashley of Walking Pants Curiosities made a huge announcement yesterday. They’ve long wondered how to drown out all the negative coverage of Memphis in the media, and spread the word about all there is to love in our city.  They had the idea of doing a fixer-upper-type TV show, but rather than improving homes, they wanted to improve storefronts in Downtown Memphis. They would get them ready for people working out of a garage, or a living room, a building that’s not up to their standards, or wherever, who’d always dreamed of having a Downtown Memphis location.

This summer they met a local producer and it all came together. The show will be called Dreamers’ Revival and they are accepting applications for businesses to work with for their 2022 season. Cheers to Daryl and Ashley for taking a mighty step to spread the positive word about our neighborhood and our city!
