Saturday update

In yesterday’s post, I predicted a Grizzlies win for last night if Jaren Jackson Jr. played at least 32 minutes.

JJJ played 34 minutes and 24 seconds.

And the Grizzlies came from behind again in the fourth, 114-106, to end the Minnesota Timberwolves’ playoff run. Memphis comes home to host Golden State in a game at 2:30 tomorrow that will be nationally televised on ABC.

FiveThirtyEight’s NBA predictions give the Grizzlies a 48% chance of beating Golden State and advancing to the Western Conference finals.

Memphis 901 FC hosts Miami for a match at AutoZone Park tonight at 7.

The Redbirds will throw a Cinco de Mayo party as they host the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp Thursday. There will be $5 margaritas, $2 tacos, $2 PBR, and $1 hot dogs.
