Paul Young won the endorsement of the Memphis People’s Convention yesterday. He has my endorsement as well.

You might want to take Tuesday and Wednesday off and spend some time on a patio. Both days will start in the 60s and will only rise into the low 80s by the afternoon. Rain is not expected either day. Normal highs for those days would be 92/73.

The American Contract Compliance Association will convene this week at the Renasant Center. Sounds like a fun group.

Former Memphis Grizzly Pau Gasol got inducted into the Hall of Fame last night. Here’s his speech:

Flora Payne, owner of Payne’s Bar-B-Que, will be inducted into the BBQ Hall of Fame this year.

Protect Our Aquifer has a Water Wednesday happy hour at Old Dominick this week.

Nerd Nite returns to Memphis Chess Club this Friday at 7 PM.

Memphis 901 FC got a 1-0 win over San Diego yesterday.

The FIBA World Cup USA Men’s Team plays Spain at 2:30 this afternoon on FOX.

That’s all. Probably going to head to Bardog at 11 since Blind Bear no longer opens for weekend brunch.
