Huge news: The University of Memphis has shattered its previous record amount of research grants awarded: This year it’s $86 million. Before this year, the record was set at $51 million in 2022. The U of M was designated an R1 (top) research university by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education recently.
