The Redbirds will play as the Memphis Red Sox Saturday night to honor the city’s 20th-century Negro Leagues teams. There will be a ceremony prior to the first pitch, and the jerseys will be auctioned off.

- Downtown was a ghost town during May without the REAL Memphis in May Music Fest and BBQ Fest down here. That destroyed area restaurants’ most profitable month.
- The cost of insuring a Downtown bar has skyrocketed in recent years, as much as quintupling.
