    PokerStars looking to set world record in tournament this afternoon

    If you’re a poker player and looking for something to do around 1:45 Central time, log onto PokerStars and play in what they’re hoping will be a tournament that breaks a record for most players ever.  It’s a good deal too – only $1 to buy in, $300,000 prize pool guaranteed, top 30,000 finishers will cash.  First place is said to be $50,000, not a bad ROI for a $1 buy-in.  Players will start with 2000 in chips and blinds will increase every 5 minutes.  As of the time of this post (9:44 AM) there are just under 100,000 players entered.  Go to “Tourney/All” in the PokerStars lobby and look for the World Record tourney to register.
