I see we have more jokes. Yesterday I announced a public contest to name the Moody Ques’ new smoker. Members of Squeal Street BBQ immediately started suggesting names, referencing the difficulty we had getting our old smoker Bevo to hold temp the past two years. Last night they showed up at Blind Bear and had more suggestions. “You could call it the PBR cooker – Pork Be Raw,” they offered. “Or Pork Tartare.” Very funny guys. Hey, I’ve got a suggestion of my own: We could call it the “We’ve Won a Trophy Since 2013, Unlike Some Teams” cooker.

Last week I bought a bottle of Crazy Good Chaos Theory ghost pepper sauce, and have been looking for dishes on which to try it. Last night a local chef made a great suggestion: Get the Jager BBQ Bologna sandwich from Blind Bear to go, bring it home and add some sauce. Damn that was delicious! The sauce was also good on the side of pepper jack mac & cheese.
Speaking of the Blind Bear, don’t forget that tonight is another special weekday evening edition of D-RANKS with B-RAD. Brad will be working the closing bar shift from 7 to 3. From what I hear, a lot of his Sunday regulars are going to be coming up, as well as some of the Bear folks from past years. This is probably his last weeknight shift for a long time. There will be trivia with Charles at 8.
