A rock legend is coming to Downtown Memphis. Nick Mason is the drummer for Pink Floyd and the only musician who was a member of that band throughout its entire existence. Rumors are out that Pancho’s will close its two remaining restaurants at the end of this week to focus on the distribution of its dips to supermarkets. However, nothing official has been released. Employee “Anonymous” told the DM’s Jennifer Biggs Saturday would be the last day.

Could this be a marketing gimmick to drive business to the restaurants? Kudos to Pancho’s if that’s the game they’re playing. Few forces drive human emotions more than the feeling of scarcity.
