Wednesday update

A federal judge ruled that three golfers – Talor Gooch, Hudson Swafford, and Matt Jones – did not deserve a temporary restraining order that would allow them to play in the FedEx-St. Jude Invitational, a leg of the PGA Tour playoffs, this weekend in Memphis. The golfers did not establish harm, knowing they would be very well compensated for playing on the LIV Tour.

The DM reports that ownership of the Memphis Redbirds has changed hands for the second time in a year. They were one of 10 teams purchased by private equity firm Silver Lake.

Yesterday was the funeral service for my friend Connor Hunt who worked for Tandem Restaurant Partners and who was killed in a car accident July 31. I didn’t make it to the funeral but I heard people called the Hogs there. That would have made Connor so happy.
